Beijing, China, November 7th 2011 / FEITIAN Technologies Co Ltd., (www.ftsafe.com), a leading IT security company specializing in building strong authentication products, today announced a collaboration with Intel to provide FOAS OTP authentication solutions with Intel® Identity Protection Technology (IPT).

Through the collaboration, Feitian authentication built on future Ultrabook® mobile devices and select 2nd generation Intel® Core™ and Intel™ Core® vPro processor-based computers with IPT will provide an effective defense for sensitive data and system access.  It will leverage a technology called “two factor authentication” that provides a safer and more cost effective way of logging into accounts by marrying something you know (your username and password) with something you have (a randomly generated six-digit code that can only be accessed from your computer).

Security of business critical information is a top priority at all levels of organizations. Feitian FOAS OTP with IPT stands to drastically improve the way enterprises utilize strong network authentication – eliminating the technical and economic challenges of large-scale security deployments. Traditional fixed password and username combinations are largely ornamental, providing little to no serious network protection against the advanced and persistent threat posed by modern cyber criminals.

Intel and Feitian are combining their technologies to simplify issues of complex integration and management commonly associated with authentication technology. The Feitian applet works in conjunction with IPT and interacts with Feitian OATH Authentication Server (FOAS) to seamlessly and automatically validate access to a wide range of websites.

Online application providers looking to strengthen security can easily deploy the Feitian / IPT solution for effective and convenient end point regulation.  Industries ranging from online gaming, healthcare providers, enterprises and online banking  sites can easily and quickly provide a higher level of security for end users.
